Connecting to
the CSUDH Wireless Network is changing! A new network authentication and validation security system is in place
to simplify login and to prevent infected wireless computer systems such as
laptops or desktops from gaining access to the network and infecting other
systems. This will ensure a safe, secure
and reliable network for you.
Here's what
you need to do:
Launch any web browser such as Internet Explorer, Netscape
or Firefox. You will be redirected to the Clean Access Server web site for
login (Figure 1)

Figure 1
Click on Yes at the security alert window.
Enter your username and password to logon to the network (Figure 2) and select appropriate role from the Role dropdown button. For
faculty/staff, type your campus email username and password. For
students, type your student username and password.
If you do not have your username and password, faculty/staff contact helpdesk, and students contact Admission and Records.

Once your username and password have been verified, you will
be prompted to download and install the Clean Access Agent*.
how to install the Clean Access Agent.
After the installation is completed, a Clean Access Agent
icon will appear in your system tray (Figure 3).

If the Clean Access Agent fails to install, please see
Troubleshooting section or contact our Helpdesk.

Once the Clean Access Agent is properly installed, you do not need to launch a web browser anymore to logon to our wireless network. From now on you will use the agent for login purpose. Clean Access Agent will automatically pop up once it detects that you are at or near any wireless hotspots. If it does not pop up, you can right click on the
Clean Access Agent icon and chose login.
The Clean Access Agent will automatically validate your
system configurations to ensure that you have current operating system patches,
anti-virus and other security updates.
If the validation is successful, you will be logged onto the
network.
If the validation is not successful, you will be directed to
a remediation site such as Windows
Updates. You need to update your system or security files at that
time. Depending on the security updates,
you may need to reboot your computer
several times.

* Note: Non-Windows systems (Macintosh, Linux) or older
Windows will not need to download the Clean Access Agent. The validation will
be conducted via a network scan.
